For patience is necessary for you, so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise – Hebrews 10:36 (KJV)

Many people pray for their heart’s desire to be granted, but give up along the way if it is not granted immediately. Doubts and disbelief set in and steal your blessings. You must believe and patiently wait for your heart’s desire after praying according to God’s will.

God does not forget what we ask for in prayers. When your faith is intact, God moves on to figure it out for you. He does not store prayers but answers them. Sometimes the answer may not come as you wanted but it will be better than you expected. All logistics will be resolved without stress.

This story of God tells an experience in my life (My steps with God)

When I finished my first grade, my heart’s desire was to continue my education. My husband agreed but on the condition that I do it from home for family reasons. Our residency at the time made that almost impossible. (Online course was out of the question at the time due to the cost implication) The nearest university was in another state and attending daily would be very stressful, traffic was always backed up. Another route that had less traffic had some lonely and sometimes unsafe areas. So, I believed God for a job transfer for my husband that will cause our residence to be closed to a university.

After six years of waiting, God initiated a series of events to allow me to fulfill my heart’s desire. The good news is that God does not forget the desires of our hearts that we ask according to his will!

My former boss’s husband was transferred back to our location. (In the organization where my husband works, the wife has the opportunity to work there too if there is an opening for her). She introduced me to a professional course in Management that you can take almost anywhere in the world, as long as there is a center for you to take the exams. She was very flexible – you can choose which course to do at a time and you are given a reasonable period of years to complete all the exams. The exams were taken twice a year with an interval of six months.

The exam center offered weekend preparation classes. At first I chose two courses with classes on Friday night and Saturday morning, and I stayed overnight at my in-laws’ house. (The center was in another state.) The remaining four courses were on Saturdays and Sundays. God prepared my colleague ahead of time to take me to class. He was doing the program and he was offering the same courses at the same time with me. Initially, he would ask me how I was going to handle classes on Sundays. If I were to go by public transport, it would mean that I would not have religious services for a year due to heavy traffic after the services! But with the help of this colleague, I attended the services. We were saying the closing prayers in the car as we drove to the property’s exit gate, so we were always among the first ten cars to join the main road. And I was able to fulfill my heart’s desire. God does not forget what you asked for according to his will.

Financially, God miraculously provided as well. The fees were high, but God provided throughout the period. The fees were increased considerably each year at that time. At first I paid for two courses at a time, and then one at a time. After two and a half years I finished before it became too much to believe God.

The amazing thing is, as of this writing, my old boss hasn’t taken a test yet! After registration, her husband was transferred to another place and for one reason or another she was unable to take the exams. I saw it as God using her to fulfill my heart’s desire. Also, that colleague of mine, due to the workload, is also about to finish. I will always be grateful to them for giving in to God to help me. I pray that God will richly bless you.

The good news is that my husband was not transferred until I was done. Immediately my last result came out, they transferred it to another state very far from where we were! Also, I was able to get a job at a big company within the small town with this new qualification. People were amazed because I got it after 3 months of our arrival and many people had been there waiting for such opportunities for years.

For six years, God was at work, putting everything in order while I waited and believed that He would fulfill my heart’s desire. He wanted to do a Masters in Chemistry, but God gave me a globally recognized professional course relevant to what I’m doing now.

In conclusion, this story of God validates the truth that God does not forget what you asked for according to His will. Therefore, he may rest assured that whatever he has prayed for in accordance with God’s will, God has answered him. He is putting everything in shape to manifest it at the right time. Therefore, he encourages them to remain in the faith.
