If you catch an infection early enough, this home remedy to treat a yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide will help you get rid of that painfully nasty, horrible-smelling yeast infection. Here are the steps to treat yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide.

The first step in treating a yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide is to take a tampon and soak it in yogurt for a while. Take the tampon and insert it and wear it overnight. The reason this works is that yogurt contains lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria that create hydrogen peroxide which in turn kills the yeast.

You can also choose to take a spoon or something like that and place the yogurt on your vaginal area. This does the same thing for treating yeast infections with hydrogen peroxide as the previous method.

Please be aware of the fact that this is only a temporary cure and does not cure the root cause of the yeast infection which is a build up of the candida fungus in your body. Only a proper diet can begin to balance the candida fungus in your body and completely eliminate any further outbreaks.

You may also want to shower with hydrogen peroxide. However, this may require repeated uses and can also cause burns. Especially if your infection is inflamed or severe. Purchase a sterile douche bottle and hydrogen peroxide. The reason this works so well is that the peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen, and the oxygen helps kill off the infection. This is also very safe as peroxide breaks down in water very quickly.

Pour the peroxide into the douche bottle and mix with water. You may want the solution to be a bit stronger, however start with 3 parts water to 1 part peroxide. If it’s too strong, dilute it even more. Continue repeating this douche until all symptoms are gone. This can take a couple of days as a method of treating a yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide.
