Rugs: Reflecting Style and Personality
Like any decorative element, a rug should reflect the style and personality of the owner of the house. That being said, rugs and other flooring alternatives have an impact on a much larger area, and this means they need to fit in with the furniture, colors, and overall style.

Unfavorable light can give a darkening effect to a dark colored rug. If this goes with the room, great, if it can’t create an uncomfortable environment, it’s often just a feeling and not something specific.
