Summer is in full swing and rising mercury levels call for a refreshing summer vacation. We’re thinking piña coladas, partying, and an exotic beach! It will require planning, setting a budget, making some big calls, making reservations, and packing! Many suitcases and trips. If you are someone who is running low on cash or saving to buy an apartment in a better neighborhood, how about bringing the party home? How about a “stay-cation”?
Think about it? all that money you’ll save, all that baggage you won’t have to worry about, never having to sit in those cramped airplane seats, and especially waiting endless hours at the airport in case your flight is delayed. If you play your cards right, you can plan an amazing vacation from the comfort of your own home! Below are some ideas to help you plan a wonderful stay.
1) Exotic foods and drinks! One of the exciting parts of a vacation is experiencing a new culture and all the cuisines and drinks that it brings with it. Thanks to YouTube, we can search for any and all recipes under the sun and learn how to make them right at home. You can plan a party in your backyard, and instead of the conventional Bar BQ, you can spice up the food by adding some new starters and main dishes to your menu. The guests will be delighted and you can save huge amounts of cash! Similarly, instead of serving the usual margaritas and lemonade, you can serve up shooter and sidecar to your guests.
2) Outdoor activities: Staycation does not necessarily mean staying home all day. You can plan outdoor activities that you have missed for a long period of time. What about that cliff diving trip you always wanted to take but couldn’t because of work and evening MBA classes? Now is your chance, sign up for one or take a walk with your friends. 3) Local Festival – If you are a foodie who loves a dish with an exotic palette of flavors, how about the local food festival that is organized every summer season?
