When people think of parks in the state of Florida, they think of theme parks. However, there are many Florida beach parks in the state where all kinds of natural beauty can be found. These are great options for Florida beach vacations in all sorts of different places, including the world-famous Everglades.
Everglades National Park is by far the most popular of these parks. Located in the far south of the state, the Everglades are known for their natural beauty and all kinds of different forested areas. Also, it is known to be a wildlife refuge for animals. While the alligator is by far the most popular of these animals, many different types of snakes call the Everglades home. However, there are concerns about attacks between snakes and alligators. A variety of beach areas can be found in the Everglades, including Highland Point, Florida Bay, and the Oyster Keys.
All kinds of wildlife parks can also be found throughout the Florida Keys. The Key West Natural Wildlife Reserve, which is located outside of Key West, features Fort Zachary Taylor National State Park, the southernmost park in the country. It stands out as a place with a large amount of natural marine life from the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Also in the Keys is the Gran Reserva de la Garza Blanca and the National Marine Sanctuary. These are awesome places to see during Florida beach vacations.
The Apalachicola National Forest is located in the state’s Panhandle, just south of Tallahassee. Forest swamps are protected areas in the state, and all kinds of beach recreation areas can be found in the forest. Silver Lake and Wright Lake Recreation Areas are among these places for people to visit.
The Gulf Islands National Seashore is located in the extreme northwest of the state, just outside of Pensacola. It spans not only much of the Panhandle, but also parts of nearby Alabama. There are several nature trails in the area, including trails along the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The Live Oaks Naval Reservation, which is located in nearby Gulf Breeze, is also in the area. However, the coast has suffered some infrastructure damage from previous hurricane seasons, but it remains a relatively popular place to travel for Florida beach vacations despite this concern.
These Florida beach parks are great places to visit for a Florida beach vacation. While the Everglades are by far the most popular places for Florida beach vacations, there are a number of different places to visit in the state, including some stunning spots in the Panhandle and the Florida Keys.
