In this short Cataclysm gold guide, without wasting any more time, I will show some items that you can farm for gold in the new age of Cataclysm. That’s because many players make their money just by betting on the Auction House, and I never liked this method. I will always stick to traditional farming, involving my professions if necessary.
So what to farm in Cataclysm?
1. Large bright fragments. Of course, to be able to farm these materials, you must be an enchanter, and you will need a minimum of 200 skill in this profession. To get Large Shiny Shards, you need to Disenchant Blue Items in a level range of 55 to 60. There are several instances in the game where you can get a lot of Blue Items (BoP) to get Large Shiny Shards. Running the level 55 – 60 instances will also get you a bunch of Runecloth and green items that can also be disenchanted into Illusion Dust or Greater Eternal Essences, enchanting reagents that are also expensive.
2. Black Pearls. These items are not usually in high demand, but are only occasionally found by players. In other words, they don’t grow on trees. However, all players leveling up their Enchanting ability will sooner or later need to upgrade their Enchanting Rod to a Runic Truesilver Rod. For that, a Black Pearl is required and the player who needs it will pay up to 100g for that upgrade. In addition, jewelers also need 4 Black Pearls to create a rather impressive youth trinket, the Figurine: Black Pearl Panther.
