Recently, after taking a look at some of the new design features coming to Microsoft’s Office application, Microsoft has now confirmed that it is planning a revamp for the Office 365 experience. Initially, they only focus on the three areas key, as the renovation will bring some simplified ribbons, new colors, icons and a unique search experience that influences the Microsoft Chart. One of the most important changes is the updated or simplified tape designs. In the new look, Microsoft said that the entertainment is cleaner and simpler, while giving users the ability to modify it with the most useful tools, representing the experience of the constraint items on their taskbar in Windows. And while the new, streamlined designs are meant to focus on simplicity, they can still augment the tape to the standard three-line sight. The new simplified ribbon experience is moving towards the web version of Word, which starting in July, insiders will start to see pop-ups in Outlook for Windows. Microsoft also said that it is not moderately ready to bring a new ribbon to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Windows yet, but it will eventually make its way to those applications. The second most significant revision is associated with the colors and icons of each application. The new colors and icons are designed to make applications more modern, and the new icons are assembled as accessible graphics to be rendered with crisp, clean lines on screens of any size. They’ll take a look at the web version of Word first, making their way to Works, Excel, and PowerPoint for Windows and Insiders later this month. The release of Outlook for Windows is scheduled for July of this year, along with the new Outlook for Mac feature in August of this year. Look for
Today, Microsoft plans to establish a much larger role in search within its Office application. Leveraging Microsoft’s chart, the new search experience will immediately display search recommendations, when you hover over the option in the search box. This is already available for business users with some ability, but will begin rolling out to Outlook on the web for business users in August. It’s not very clear if we start considering these updates and head to the next major version of Office perpetual Office 2019, but it’s possibly a safe bet that they will arrive somehow.
