The following recipes are the ones you will need to prepare ahead of time to take with you. See below for other recipes you can make while camping.
DRIED FRUIT MIX
1C cereal granola
1/2 teaspoon salted sunflower kernels
1/2 teaspoon salted roasted soybeans
1/2 teaspoon chopped dates
1/2 teaspoon grapes
You will need: medium bowl, wooden spoon, dry measuring cups, jar. In a medium bowl, mix together the cereal, sunflower seeds, soybeans, dates, and raisins with a wooden spoon. Store it in a jar or plastic container with a tight-fitting lid. Make 2 1/2 cups.
TRAILSIDE OAT AWARDS
1/2 teaspoon margarine
1/2 teaspoon peanut butter
1C sugar
1C brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tbsp. flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons oats
1/2 teaspoon chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon grapes
walnuts
Beat the margarine, peanut butter and sugars until creamy. Mix the eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix all the rest. Drop tablespoons (make small) onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 14 minutes. Remove before browning, bake below.
SPASMODIC
3 tablespoons liquid smoke
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon. season all
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 handful of beef or venison finely shredded
Mix first 6 ingredients. Add meat. Put it in a colander and set it over another bowl to catch any drippings. Let stand 12 hours in the fridge. Place the meat on cookie sheets and dry in the oven at 150 to 200 degrees with the oven slightly open. Heat until all the moisture has disappeared from the meat.
